China's foreign minister Wang Yi met Australia's foreign minister Penny Wong in
Manila on the 21st. Wang said bilateral ties are on a path to improvement under
their leaders' guidance; China is willing to strengthen exchanges, build mutual
trust and expand cooperation, and urged Australia to respect non-interference,
abandon double standards and work with China to sustain the improvement while
managing differences on the basis of mutual respect.
