July 21 — China’s A-share broad-based ETFs extended a flow-driven bid as volumes
accelerated, with five flagship products dominating trading. Morning session:
Huaxia STAR50 ETF was the most active, with half-day turnover above CNY 12.0
bln; E Fund’s ChiNext ETF and Huatai-PineBridge’s CSI300 ETF recorded CNY 9.57
bln and CNY 7.38 bln respectively. Southern Asset Management’s CSI500 and
CSI1000 ETFs each exceeded CNY 5 bln in half-day turnover. Those five ETFs were
also among the prior session’s largest by turnover; on the day their combined
turnover approached CNY 79 bln, about 30% of total stock ETF turnover, making
them central targets of recent capital allocation.
