Mohammad Karami, commander of the IRGC ground forces, inspected Persian Gulf
coastal areas and strategic islands and reviewed units under the 'Madinah
Outpost Base.' He said sustained training, rapid‑response capability and a
robust IRGC ground presence are central to protecting Persian Gulf waters, and
ordered reinforcement of civilian defense networks and expansion of Basij forces
to secure islands. Karami criticized the U.S. military posture in the region and
said the IRGC is closely monitoring cross‑regional movements and continuously
adjusting and enhancing defenses to counter potential threats.
