July 21 — China's Ministry of Transport safety director and head of the Transport Services Department Cai Tuanjie told a State Council Information Office briefing the ministry will build more than 3,000 charging and battery-swap stations for electric heavy trucks. Deployment will target busy freight stretches on national expressways and trunk national/provincial roads, major city clusters (Beijing‑Tianjin‑Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area, Chengdu‑Chongqing) and key nodes including freight hubs, ports, mines, factories and industrial parks, and will promote linking supply points into continuous corridor networks.
