U.S. prediction-market platform Kalshi has filed with the Commodity Futures
Trading Commission to expand its perpetual-contract business into traditional
commodities by offering perpetual futures linked to gold, silver and platinum.
Under the review process regulators will decide within 45 days whether to
approve the product. Kalshi chief risk officer Udesh Jha said initial trading
hours will mirror the underlying markets — five days a week, 24 hours a day —
and the firm will evaluate extending hours thereafter.
