Nikkei Asia, citing multiple people, reports TSMC (TSM.N) plans to raise wafer-foundry prices for advanced and mature nodes effective early 2027 to offset rising materials, equipment and overseas fab construction costs. Baseline increases of 5–10% are planned for 7nm and more advanced nodes, which contributed about 77% of revenue in the Apr–Jun quarter; incremental high-performance computing (HPC) orders beyond customers’ prior forecasts would carry an additional 10–15% surcharge, meaning some advanced-node orders could see total hikes above 10%. Mature processes (including 12nm, 16nm, 28nm and other legacy nodes), which made up roughly 23% of last quarter revenue, are slated for increases up to 10%, with variation by product. Sources say customer talks began around June and were finalized in July.
