Seoul Economic Daily, citing a major broker’s analysis of 25,000 high-net-worth investors (≥10 bln won in financial assets) from May 27–July 10, reports concentrated net buying of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix single-stock leveraged ETFs. Net purchases were: KODEX SK Hynix Single-Stock Leverage ETF 178.1 bln won, TIGER SK Hynix Single-Stock Leverage ETF 140.1 bln won, and KODEX Samsung Electronics Single-Stock Leverage ETF 116.6 bln won. The other two names in the top-five net-buys were ordinary shares of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, signaling wealthy investors are heavily overweight Korea’s two large chip names; retail buyers in their 40s were the largest cohort buying these single-stock leveraged ETFs.

China A-share power sector rose, with Xineng Co., Xinzhonggang, Shimao Energy and Li New Energy hitting daily limit-ups; Huadian Liaoning jumped over 9% and Jiuzhou Group gained more than 8%. Huaguang Huaneng, Huadian Energy, Jiawei New Energy, Disen Co. and Datang Power also advanced.
