Fedorov said at a post-dismissal press conference that Sersky had issued Zelenskiy an ultimatum. Tensions between Fedorov and Sersky, reflecting divergent approaches to military leadership and organisation — Sersky favouring a highly centralised, Soviet-style command — were long-running.
