Japan’s Ministry of Finance said Wednesday yen‑denominated crude import prices in June rose 84.7% YoY to JPY117,684 per kiloliter, the highest level since comparable records began in 1979 and the third consecutive monthly record, above May’s JPY114,076/kl. The June price equals about $722 per kiloliter or $117.16 per barrel (the ninth‑highest on record). CENTCOM said US forces completed the 11th consecutive night of strikes against Iran at 8:15 p.m. ET on July 21. Targets included Iranian military operations centers, maritime combat-capability facilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage sites and military logistics infrastructure, aimed at further degrading Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
