TASNIM NEWS quoted an Iranian military source saying Iran has ironclad resolve
to assert sovereignty in the Strait of Hormuz and will not allow the waterway to
be used as a tool against it. The source said vessels may transit safely only if
passage is coordinated with Iran and conducted under Iranian arrangements;
otherwise Tehran will not relinquish control and will take measures it deems
necessary to secure the strait long term. The source warned that if the U.S.
strikes any Iranian bridge or power plant, Iran will retaliate against regional
infrastructure and bridges, including energy facilities in which the U.S. has
interests. He added that U.S. officials should by now be convinced, based on the
past ten days, that Iran can strike any target it selects, and that any Trump
gamble will fail again.
