Researchers at Southeast University's National Key Laboratory for Millimeter
Waves, with Nanjing University and Hong Kong University of Science and
Technology, demonstrated an insulator-free topological photonic waveguide that
enables multichannel routing of topological photons. The structure is presented
as a key enabling technology for next‑generation photonic quantum computing,
high‑speed optical communications and highly integrated photonic integrated
circuits; results published in Nature on July 22.
