China published the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan for traditional Chinese medicine
(TCM) revitalization, setting guiding principles, development targets and
indicators for the Fifteenth Five-Year period. The plan sets 2030 targets: a
more complete TCM service system covering the whole population and lifecycle;
new breakthroughs in TCM prevention and treatment of major diseases; quality
upgrades to primary-level TCM services; markedly stronger basic research
capacity; substantially improved innovation capability across the Chinese herbal
medicine industry; enhanced cultural and international influence of TCM; and
universal access to TCM services.
