China registered 31,617 new foreign-invested enterprises in Jan–Jun, up 5.3% YoY. Actual utilized FDI totaled 402.14 bln yuan, down 5% YoY; June alone rose 15.1% YoY. By sector, manufacturing accounted for 105.03 bln yuan and services 289.62 bln. High‑technology industries received 170.33 bln yuan, up 33.2% YoY, comprising 42.4% of total used FDI, a 12.2 percentage-point gain YoY. Within high-tech, FDI into R&D and design services rose 82%, electronic and communication equipment manufacturing 52%, and computer and office equipment manufacturing 29.2%.
