On July 22 (US time) South Korea's LG Energy Solution filed a patent infringement suit in the US against China's EVE Energy and asked the US International Trade Commission (ITC) for an import exclusion. YONHAP reported the case cites five patents — four tied to cylindrical/tabless battery technology and one to battery separators — and alleges the accused cells are already widely used in the US power-tool market. EVE Energy said it has not received formal legal papers and its internal review found no evidence of infringement.
