China General Nuclear (CGN)'s Daesan Phase II 557 MW gas-fired plant entered commercial operation at 00:00 local time on July 24. The greenfield project, developed by CGN in South Korea, engaged more than 100 Korean firms, improved construction efficiency by about 15% and has a maximum annual output of roughly 3.9 bln kWh, which will bolster local power supply.
