MOFCOM e‑commerce department said online shopping festivals helped boost
consumption in Jan–Jun 2026. NBS data show nationwide online goods retail sales
rose 4.8% in Jan–Jun, contributing 1.2 percentage points to total retail sales
growth; online services retail sales increased 6.0%. MOFCOM big‑data monitoring
recorded online retail value for smart exoskeletons and smart glasses up 458.4%
and 151.7%, while online tourism and catering sales rose 27.2% and 13.9%,
respectively.
