The Cyberspace Administration of China’s National Informatization Development
Report (2025) shows core digital industry value-added accounted for over 10.5%
of GDP; digital industry revenue reached 39.6 tln yuan, up 8.8% YoY, while
household digital consumption was 25.3 tln yuan, up 8.7% YoY. Network
infrastructure upgrades continued: 5G base stations totaled 4.838 mln by
end‑2025, about two‑thirds of prefecture‑level cities meet gigabit‑city
standards, and active IPv6 users reached 869 mln.
