Israeli prime minister Netanyahu said the Israel–Iran conflict will only end if
Iran's current regime falls or is weakened to the point it must abandon its
nuclear program, and that Iran's nuclear effort must be terminated “whether or
not an agreement is reached.” He said his trip to meet US president Trump is not
to hand over new intelligence — US and Israeli military and intelligence
agencies are already cooperating closely — but to discuss and gauge Trump’s
views, and that much depends on Trump's decision. Netanyahu endorsed Trump's
stance that Saudi Arabia should only receive a civilian nuclear deal and said
Israel and the US will not allow Saudi development of military nuclear
capabilities.
