A Vietnamese vessel, KHOINGUYEN18, sank in the South China Sea on the night of July 24 with 62 crew aboard. Survivors on life‑rafts drifted toward Yongshu Reef (Fiery Cross Reef) in the Nansha/Spratly area. On the 26th, President PEZESHKIAN and the minister of Roads and Urban Development received a briefing on damage to border crossings, ports, highways and railways. He said U.S. strikes on those civilian transport facilities were "clear war crimes" and called for legal accountability through relevant international organizations and bodies.
