On July 22, White House OSTP director Michael Kratsios posted on social media
alleging Chinese AI firm Moonshot AI distilled ANTHROPIC's Fable to develop the
Kimi K3 model. Hours later U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned he could
respond with sanctions and placement on a U.S. entity list over the alleged
distillation.
