Shanghai Guotou reported 1H investment figures: as of end-June it manages 37 funds with committed capital near CNY300bn. In 1H it approved over 180 projects totalling more than CNY45bn, roughly 80% of last year’s full-year approval volume. Its managed master funds have cumulatively mobilized over CNY250bn of social capital, with a leverage multiple above 6x.

Concord Resources research director Duncan Hobbs said the aluminium market is far larger than 25 years ago, leaving current LME inventories extremely low relative to market size. LME aluminium on-warrants were 245,350 tonnes on July 24, the lowest since April 2025. Hobbs warned the market may be "overly complacent" about supply risk despite forecasts of a 2027–28 surplus; ongoing Strait of Hormuz disruptions are hampering Gulf smelters' imports of feedstock and exports of metal.

China A-share PCB concept sector strengthened; International Composite Materials jumped more than 12%, and Pengding Holdings, Huazheng New Materials, Jinlu Electronics, Nanya New Materials and Pingan Electric also advanced.
