At the open, China's main futures contracts were mostly lower. SC crude fell about 7 pct, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) dropped over 6 pct, fuel oil slid nearly 6 pct and LPG declined more than 5 pct. Styrene (EB) and benzene fell about 4 pct, synthetic rubber dropped over 3 pct and asphalt eased roughly 3 pct. On the upside, Shanghai silver rose over 3 pct and caustic soda gained more than 2 pct; platinum, palladium, Shanghai tin, apples, lithium carbonate, Shanghai gold and glass were up over 1 pct, while ferrosilicon rose about 1 pct.
