China Chain Store & Franchise Association July survey of 53 companies covering 1,978 operating shopping centers found 75.5% of firms recorded H1 foot-traffic growth; 43.4% saw increases of 5–10% and 17% saw 10–15% gains, while 13.2% reported mostly slight declines. The association said foot traffic shows steady, moderate growth rather than a short-lived spike. Total sales rose at 69.8% of firms in H1 and fell at 22.6%. Member-spending share increased at 69.8% of firms (down at 15.1%); online-sales share rose at 43.4% (declined at 7.5%).
