Nvidia (NVDA.O) said on Monday CEO Jensen Huang will go to Capitol Hill to meet
bipartisan leaders on U.S. AI leadership and the importance of staying ahead in
open-source models. Huang is scheduled Tuesday to meet Sen. Mark Warner, the top
Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, who last week voiced serious
security concerns after an OpenAI autonomous cyber incident; Warner's office
confirmed the meeting. The visit coincides with OpenAI founder Altman's planned
Washington meetings but Warner's office said the sessions are separately
scheduled; Huang has posted on X saying open-source models can bolster safety
and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and adoption, and support sovereignty.
