ING analyst Chris Turner says that if the Swiss National Bank (SNB) maintains zero rates this year, the Swiss franc could weaken further. Rising oil prices are lifting global interest rates while Switzerland’s low-rate environment makes the franc a likely funding currency for carry trades. Turner adds that if the Federal Reserve hikes on Wednesday, USD/CHF could trade up to 0.85 in August.
