Moscow region governor Andrey Vorobyov said on July 28 that dozens of Ukrainian
drones were shot down overnight over the region, including over Domodedovo. An
apartment block in Chekhov was struck; casualties are being verified. Drone
debris also sparked two fires and damaged a house; no injuries were reported.
Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin said more than 390 Ukrainian drones headed for the
Moscow area between 20:30 on July 27 and 06:30 on July 28, with most suppressed
at long range and 81 destroyed as they approached the city. Ukraine had no
immediate comment.
