Fed chair KEVIN WARSH said the three dissenting votes at today’s meeting did not reflect the substance of discussion and that the committee’s decision had broad support. He said June core CPI is unlikely to materially affect policy, that the Fed will consult its inflation task force in the coming weeks, and that some recent inflation readings were encouraging. Warsh said the Fed will closely monitor inflation trends as it approaches important policy decisions.
