Japan's finance minister Katayama said fully explaining the government's fiscal policy to markets is crucial.

At the morning session close, China onshore futures most-active contracts were mostly lower. Container-shipping Europe route, rapeseed meal, soda ash and iron ore fell over 2%; alumina and glass were down nearly 2%; lithium carbonate, ferrosilicon and PVC slipped more than 1%. On the upside, ethylene glycol gained about 4%, SC crude rose over 3%, low-sulphur fuel oil was up nearly 2%, and PET flakes, short fiber, fuel oil, paraxylene, Shanghai aluminium and PTA advanced more than 1%.
