Ruilian Bank FX strategist Peter Kinsella says Thursday’s Bank of England policy
decision is unlikely to materially move the pound. The BoE is expected to hold
Bank Rate at 3.75% with a 7-2 vote. Updated forecasts should show weak growth
and slightly lower inflation for the remainder of the year. With yields still
under upward pressure, the Bank may slow QT, though Kinsella sees little GBP
impact. Overall, expect EUR/GBP and GBP/USD to trade in narrow ranges near term.
