On July 30, China's National Radio and Television Administration and Ministry of
Industry and Information Technology held a national deployment meeting to
accelerate rollout of integrated TV. The agencies reaffirmed an unchanged annual
target of tens of millions of installations, ordered strict enforcement of
integrated-TV technical standards, and instructed opening online and offline
distribution channels and new, more efficient installation-and-maintenance
models. They called for deeper interagency and industry coordination to
strengthen the industrial base and ensure scale deployment delivers measurable
results. Rollout will be coordinated with ultra-high-definition development and
upgrades to public venues, rural coverage and elderly-friendly services, while
consolidating recent 'double governance' achievements to ensure mutually
reinforcing implementation.
