Financial Times reports President Trump said he has not decided whether to
permit Ukraine to manufacture Patriot surface-to-air interceptors, creating
uncertainty over US approval for one of Kyiv's key requests. In a phone
interview he said he was "not sure" the US would issue production licenses and
that "we are looking into it." Trump said his focus is ending the Russia-Ukraine
war and that envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff will visit Ukraine in coming
days. On the Middle East he said Iran's recent strikes aim to widen the regional
war but that Tehran will "ultimately give in," adding "we are hitting them
hard." He also said he is optimistic the US will finalize last week's landmark
civilian nuclear agreement with Saudi Arabia.
