Chongqing Development and Reform Commission solicits comments on a draft that proposes encouraging foreign‑invested enterprises to expand reinvestment in Chongqing. The measures would allow FIEs to use retained earnings of China‑established FIEs, or onshore legally distributed RMB or foreign‑currency profits of overseas investors, to set up new companies in Chongqing, increase capital in existing firms, acquire domestic shares/equity or asset shares or similar rights, and fund investment projects.

As of July 30, margin financing balances on the Shanghai Stock Exchange were CNY1,322.21 bln, down CNY14.48 bln from the previous trading day; on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange they were CNY1,254.10 bln, down CNY22.18 bln; combined CNY2,576.31 bln, down CNY36.66 bln.
