Yemen’s foreign ministry said Saudi Arabia is in a historic stalemate and
described Riyadh’s campaign as a failed, brutal war, adding Yemen’s fight aims
to reclaim rights and lift the Saudi blockade. The ministry warned any military
presence in the Red Sea would create instability and affect shipping, but said
navigation through the Bab el-Mandeb and Red Sea is currently safe and reports
of fees or similar measures are false. It added that attempts—however united—to
prevent Yemen from regaining its lawful rights will fail and that efforts to
lift the Saudi blockade and restore full rights are still at an early stage.
