Iraqi media report an explosion at an ammunition depot at the Al-Taji military base north of Baghdad. The Iraq Security Media Cell said the blast was caused by elevated internal temperatures. The base is long used by US-led coalition forces. Officials said there is no indication the incident was an attack; no further information on casualties has been released.

The State Council executive meeting approved a draft decision to amend the Housing Provident Fund Management Regulations, directing wider withdrawal and use rules, expanded coverage and improved fund management and services to better meet diverse resident housing needs.
