The Russian military said Ukrainian drones carried out overnight strikes on an
oil refinery in Saratov, triggering a fire. Ukrainian forces said they destroyed
the refinery and also attacked a nearby air base that hosts Tu-95 long-range
strategic bombers Russia uses to launch cruise missiles at Ukraine. Russia said
its forces struck infrastructure in the Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv, hit two
vessels carrying military cargo, and struck a ship in the Black Sea. Saratov is
about 730 km southeast of Moscow and more than 1,000 km from Kyiv.
