The Fifth CCF Quantum Computing Conference and Greater Bay Area Quantum Science
Forum opened in Shenzhen on the 3rd for a three-day session. Chaired by Chinese
Academy of Sciences academicians Yao Qizhi (Turing Award) and Xue Qikun
(National Highest Science and Technology Award), the event — described as
mainland China's premier annual forum linking the innovation chain and industry
chain — drew about 2,400 participants from roughly 1,000 universities, research
institutes, leading firms, startups and venture investors. Under the theme
“integration of quantum and intelligence; coalescing quantum and intelligent
computing,” delegates will present frontier quantum results and press for deeper
integration of quantum R&D with industry and academia.
