The China Banking Association’s 2026 report shows the financial leasing sector had 64 firms at end-2025, with total assets of 5.23 tln yuan, up 7.89% YoY. The non-performing financing lease ratio was 0.91%. Direct-lease assets rose to 1.84 tln yuan, up 21.05% YoY. Firms concentrated new business on equipment renewal and manufacturing upgrade demand and expanded leasing into commercial aerospace, the low-altitude economy and other emerging sectors; the report cites the tech-innovation segment as a core driver of high-quality industry growth.
