Samsung Electro-Mechanics plans to begin operating a new multilayer ceramic
capacitor (MLCC) plant in the Philippines by end‑Q1 next year, South Korean
media report. The company started investment negotiations with local authorities
at the end of last year and completed talks in about 15 months. Analysts say the
move marks a full launch of an "order‑linked rapid expansion" strategy,
leveraging long‑term agreements (LTAs) with large global tech customers to
accelerate mass production.
