U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said he expects energy prices to ease.

On Semiconductor (ON.O) reported Q2 2026 revenue of $1.60 billion versus a $1.59 billion consensus. It guided Q3 revenue to $1.65 billion–$1.75 billion, versus a $1.67 billion consensus.

Youyan New Materials said in a half-year report on Aug. 4 that 1H revenue rose to 6.158 bln yuan, up 50.35% YoY, and net profit attributable to parent shareholders was 183 mln yuan, up 40.89%. Basic EPS was 0.217 yuan. The company proposed a cash dividend of 0.43 yuan per 10 shares (0.043 yuan per share). Results were driven by higher volumes and price increases in film materials and platinum-group products; film revenue rose 63% YoY and platinum-group product revenue rose 65% YoY.
