Axios, citing two regional sources and a US official, reports the US, Iran and Oman are close to a temporary deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with the US planning a Wednesday announcement. The preliminary agreement would satisfy some Iranian demands for traffic-control rights in the strait that Iran did not have before the war. Sources say the arrangement under discussion would be a 60-day temporary mechanism, potentially extendable.
