Aug 4 — Jiangsu provincial government held a '6+6' industry meeting on high-quality development of integrated circuits. The province instructed province–city–county coordination and fiscal–financial collaboration to increase support for R&D in base materials, core devices, frontier processes and advanced architectures to accelerate industry scale and cluster effects. It called for an integrated innovation ecosystem linking universities, research institutes and firms into industry alliances and high‑level platforms, and for a full‑chain talent policy (attract, train, deploy, retain) to import senior and leading talent and establish an IC talent hub. The meeting also directed tiered, targeted support to expand leading enterprises and segmental benchmark firms to lift overall industry capability.
