136.9°E — about 920 km east of Naha (Ryukyu Islands) — with maximum near‑centre
winds of 42 m/s (≈151 km/h) and central pressure 955 hPa. It is moving west at
20–25 km/h, with intensity steady or slightly strengthening; forecast to cross
the Ryukyu Islands during daytime on the 7th, then enter the East China Sea,
slow down and gradually approach the East China coast. Tropical Storm No.14
Whale was centered at 17:00 at 17.7°N, 120.0°E — about 360 km northwest of
Manila — with maximum winds of 18 m/s (≈65 km/h), central pressure 998 hPa and a
radius of force‑7 winds of 100–120 km. From 20:00 on the 5th to 20:00 on the
6th, combined influence of the two systems will produce force 6–7 winds (gusts
8–9) over the central/eastern East China Sea, southeastern Yellow Sea, waters
east of Taiwan, the Bashi Channel, and the central/southern South China Sea;
parts of the central‑eastern South China Sea and eastern East China Sea may see
force 8–10 winds (gusts 11–12).
