Russian media reported on May 5 that a car bomb exploded on May 4 in a village
outside Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk region. Vladimir Tkachuk, general manager of
the Ural drone plant, was seriously wounded and taken to intensive care; his
driver and bodyguard was killed. Footage showed the Mercedes carrying Tkachuk
burned out. Authorities have opened a criminal investigation. TASS said the Ural
drone plant produces a drone that has been widely used by Russia in the conflict
with Ukraine.
