The National Energy Administration's China Nuclear Power Development Report (2026) showed nuclear generation reached 485.2 bln kWh in 2025, up 7.6% YoY, accounting for 4.6% of national power generation and 11.4% of non‑fossil generation. Average unit operating hours rose to 7,809 hours (+126 hours YoY). Provincially, Fujian had the highest share of nuclear in provincial generation at 28.1%; Liaoning, Hainan and Guangdong recorded shares of 20.9%, 18.5% and 16.9%, respectively.
