DESTATIS said Thursday Germany's factory orders rose 3.1% MoM in June, beating top analyst forecasts and following a downwardly revised 0.3% gain in May. It was the second consecutive monthly increase. Gains were led by machinery and data-processing, electronics and optical equipment. Growth was driven largely by bulk orders; orders excluding bulk goods declined. The less-volatile three-month smoothed series rose 1.3%.
