On the 6th (local time) Ukrainian President Zelenskiy confirmed Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out long-range strikes on targets inside Russia and in the Black Sea. He said strikes hit two refineries in the Republic of Bashkortostan and Yaroslavl Oblast, about 1,300 km and 700 km from the front respectively, both deep, long-range strike targets. Ukrainian forces also struck two Russian patrol boats in the Black Sea and a tanker belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet".

Russia's central bank gold and foreign exchange reserves for the week to July 31 were $720.3 bln, down from $732.1 bln the previous week.
