Daiichi Sankyo said Aug 10 it and Innovent Biologics have signed an exclusive entrusted promotion agreement for Vifutai (quizartinib hydrochloride tablets) in mainland China. Under the deal, Daiichi Sankyo will be responsible for clinical development, manufacturing and supply, while Innovent obtains exclusive rights to promote and will lead commercialization in the China market.

The Korea Development Institute (KDI) said in its monthly economic assessment on Monday that South Korea’s recovery is broadening, led by semiconductor-related industries. Exports and equipment investment have maintained strong growth driven by semiconductors, while durable-goods spending is accelerating overall consumption. Services remain solid and manufacturing has rebounded, lifting aggregate industrial production. KDI warned the economy still faces uncertainties from U.S. tariff policy and ongoing Middle East geopolitical instability, and noted elevated inflation and worsening employment are weighing on the recovery.

China A-share travel and hotel sector rose; Huatian Hotel hit the daily trading limit, while Jinjiang Hotels, Jinling Hotel, Junting Hotel and BTG Hotels also advanced.
