The Wall Street Journal reports ANTHROPIC is meeting potential investors to
shore confidence ahead of a possible September or early-October IPO that could
be the largest on record; the company is said to be valued at about $965bn.
Investors raised concerns about the rise of low-cost AI systems, tensions with
the Trump administration and growing local opposition to data center
construction; sources said ANTHROPIC executives downplayed the competitive
threat and stressed a focus on cutting-edge models. The company told some
investors it plans to expand further into healthcare and biology AI
applications; no pricing or firm timetable has been disclosed.
