Douyin Life Services has set an independent rate for the Doubao channel's hotel
orders: a software service fee of 11.4% plus a 0.6% payment fee, totaling 12%.
After online debate over whether this is a fee for hotel recommendations or
advertising, Doubao PR head Liu Xing said Doubao Life Services currently has no
paid-promotion program; recommended hotels are not charged advertising fees;
merchants cannot pay to influence recommendations or ranking; channel service
fees are payable only after an order is completed.
