China night session: most-active futures were mixed. Coking coal rose more than 2%; fuel oil, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), propylene, methanol, Shanghai crude (SC) and coke gained over 1%. Paper and pulp fell about 1%.

Intel (INTC.O) granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 31.6 million additional shares at the public offering price.

Reserve Bank of Australia held the cash rate unchanged on Wednesday, saying a rising unemployment rate and a weak housing market should be sufficient to dampen activity and inflation. Westpac said higher borrowing costs and the end of tax concessions for property investors are weighing on the housing market, illustrating a strong fiscal–monetary interaction. RBA quarterly forecasts show unemployment is projected slightly higher than three months ago, though the labour market remains a touch tight.
